The food stars and the people who admire them are once again coming to Miami Beach. The Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, presented by Food & Wine magazine, is an annual star-studded cornucopia of events for gourmands, casual foodies and oenophiles (wine lovers). What started as a relatively humble one-day wine tasting has evolved into a multi-day culinary extravaganza.

To be held this year on February 24-27, it will feature five day’s worth of culinary seminars, wine tastings, dinner parties, and other food-and-drink-related activities, with guest appearances by celebrity chefs, including Rachael Ray, Emeril Lagasse, Giada De Laurentiis, Paula Deen, Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri and others.

In celebration of its 10th year, the festival will honor world-renowned chef and restaurateur Alain Ducasse at a tribute dinner sponsored by Bank of America on Saturday, February 26 at the Loews Hotel.

There’s even a companion cookbook, Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Cookbook: Recipes and Behind-the-Scenes Stories from America’s Hottest Chefs by Lee Brian Schrager (the event’s director) and Julie Mautner, with a foreword by Anthony Bourdain, chef, New York Times columnist and host of the Travel Channel’s Emmy award-winning series, No Reservations.

Miami Magazine publishes the Official Guide to the 2011 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. For tickets, click here.
